The modern Leppäviita Day-care Centre built in Leppävaara, Espoo is an ecologically minded nursery school consisting of four sections. The building is located between a park area and a pier-like promenade.

Tähtisade office building in Friisilä, Espoo.

The main architectural concept for the project was to engage in a dialogue of different facades. The side facing the street is made of glass and metal while the side facing the yard and the residential area is of heat treated wood.

Delta-auto / Koskelo

Delta-Auto commissioned Ideark to study the relocation of its head office, main storage units, retail facilities as well as a repair shop to Koskelo, Espoo.

Daycare Center Renovations / Espoo

The roof and interiors of the Lähderanta daycare centre were partially renovated due to mold damage. Emphasis was put on designing the central multifunction room and the buildings’ lighting was enhanced with both natural and artificial light sources. New colors and materials were introduced as well.

Office Headquarters / Otaniemi

In the vicinity of the Otaniemi University Campus area designed by famed Finnish architect Alvar Aalto is also located these headquarters built in the 1980s. The design for the project was chosen through an invited competition. Juska Junttila was the architect in charge throughout the project from the early competition entry all the way to the final completion of the building.

Originally the building housed Finnoil Co’s headquarters, nowadays the premises are occupied by Gasum Co. The original building complex included a west wing and a gas station, both of which were later pulled down to make way for a new motorway of the expanding Greater Helsinki metropolitan area.

Brand Design / Ramada

Ideark designed the architectural image for the international Ramada hotel chain in Finland.

Hotels in Helsinki, Vantaa, Turku, Tampere and Oulu were renovated to meet a common criteria and look. The functionality of the premises were given a boost by remodeling the entrance and lobby areas. The colors and materials were chosen to fit each location specifically.

The assembly and festival halls of the hotel section in Armas Lindgren’s historical “Kaleva” house have undergone several improvements. The aim of the renovation project was to respect the original architecture of the building while simultaneously accommodating the modern needs today’s hotels.
